Access multiple email accounts with a single login

Trends, business and industry norms are constantly changing, and constantly evolving. With many of these changes, come the changes that can sometimes affect the way we do business and the tools we once used.

As writer, business owner, or entrepreneur you may have gone from the use of one email address to manage email communications to the use of multiple emails to manage various email communications. Checking multiple email accounts and keeping on task with replies can be time consuming and an inefficient way to manage business. Managing multiple email accounts require logging into separate accounts on a regular basis and failure to do so can lead to missed messages and long lapses in response time.

It is possible to access all of your email accounts without having to log into each account separately. There are several programs available online that provide platforms for checking multiple email accounts from a single location. Use of such applications can help save time, improve efficiency, and increase productivity.

Microsoft Office Outlook: commercial software developed by Microsoft. Users can add and manage multiple email accounts, social networks, and calendars. Outlook supports the POP3, IMAP and SMTP protocols.

Mozilla Thunderbird: a free, open source, cross-platform e-mail and news client developed by the Mozilla Foundation. Users can download the free software, add and manage multiple email and news accounts. Thunderbird supports the POP3, IMAP and SMTP protocols.

Eudora: a free, open source, cross-platform email client. Users can download the free software, add and manage multiple email accounts from the single application. Eudora supports the POP3, IMAP and SMTP protocols.

Zimbra Desktop: is a free email client that allows users add, manage, and synch email, calendar, contacts, files and documents in a web platform, while having them locally accessible. Zimbra Desktop aggregates information across various email accounts including Zimbra, Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, and Hotmail. Zimbra also aggregates information from social networks like Facebook, Digg, and Twitter.

Each of these applications provide access for users to check various accounts like Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo and other Web based email accounts, including ISP email, simultaneously. To setup the email accounts, the (POP3 and SMTP) server names are needed. This information is provided for free with most Web based email accounts, ISP email, and Gmail. However, Hotmail and Yahoo! charge an annual fee for access to this feature. More information can be found online for Yahoo! Mail Plus and Hotmail Plus.
